Banoffee Pie

Ingredients:

Serves 6 | 1 hour cook | Approx 2,501 calories and 416 calories per serve

Recipe from Nomads Paradise

  • 2-3 bananas sliced thinly

  • 1 can Dulche de Leche

  • 1 pack of Digestive biscuits

  • 150 grams of butter

  • 2 regular tubs of double cream ( in case one isn’t enough)

  • Bar of twirl or flake for crumbling over

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare

  • Grease your cake tin with butter and set aside, preheat the oven to 180 degrees

Step 2: Make the crumb

  • Blend the biscuits in a blender to make a crumb

  • Microwave the butter and add the crumb and mix

  • Add the crumb mixture to the greased tin and flatten down with a fork

Step 3: Put the crumb mix in the oven

  • Cook for 10 mins until lightly brown, and take out of the oven and cool. Leave in the tin.

Step 4: Assemble the pie

  • Once cool add your Dulche de Leche (whisk in a bowl to loosen it first if needed) and start spreading over the biscuit base.

  • Once done add your sliced bananas

  • Add your double cream on top of your bananas

  • Sprinkle your flaked chocolate!!
