Steak in the marinade

Ingredients:

Serves 1 | 10 mins prep & 6 minutes cook | Approx 750 calories

  • 300 g Rump steak

For the marinade:

  • 30 ml Light soy sauce

  • 30 ml Fish sauce

  • 15ml Olive oil

  • 1 heaped tsp garlic paste

  • Salt & Pepper

Top tips:

  • Can be pre-made ahead of time

  • Leave the marinade to sit for 2 hours, ideally overnight for maximum flavour

  • Pricking the steak with a fork to create some holes will allow the flavour to go through the meat making it extra tender and tasty

  • Always bring your meat to room temperature before cooking

Instructions:

Step 1: Make the marinade

  • Put all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and mix

Step 2: Add the steak

  • Add the steak and cling wrap and put it in the fridge

Step 3: Cook

  • Cook on the BBQ, grill or frying pan for 3 minutes each side and leave to rest for 5 minutes before serving
